Labor force dropouts

April 8, 2014: 3:20 PM ET

CNNMoney's #YourEconomy series moves beyond the numbers to look at the people who make up our economy.

A record number of unemployed Americans have dropped from the labor force in recent years, either from being discouraged from job searches or to retire. We want to know why people are dropping out of the work force. Did you stop looking for a job? Were you forced to retire? Or were you just ready to retire? Tell us your story.

Your name and comments will not be published without your permission. If we plan to follow up on your submission, one of our reporters will contact you.
