How did your furlough affect your life, family and finances?

April 16, 2013: 2:39 PM ET

More than 700,000 federal workers experienced some sort of furlough over the summer. Workers were forced to stay home, unpaid for several days. If Congress can't figure out a way to end forced spending cuts called sequester, more furloughs are expected in 2014.

What did you do on your furlough day? How did it affect your ability to pay bills and provide for your family? Are you preparing for another round of furloughs?
